de dois relatórios britânicos, um do governo e outro independente do grupo de
reflexão conservador Henry Jackson Society (HJS):
“A principal fonte de financiamento do
extremismo islâmico em solo britânico é a Arábia Saudita. A mesma que lidera
o quarteto de países árabes que decidiu boicotar o vizinho Qatar por…
financiar grupos terroristas.»
Mas (como reconhece o JN) a Grã-Bretanha
vende armas à Arábia Saudita.
Diz ainda o relatório HJS: «A Arábia
Saudita tem patrocinado desde a década de 1960 um esforço de muitos milhões
de dólares (cerca de 1.800 milhões de dólares por ano) para exportar o islão
Wahabi [a forma mais conservadora de islão] através do mundo islâmico,
incluindo entre comunidades muçulmanas no Ocidente”, no apoio directo a
mesquitas e escolas corânicas que “albergam pregadores extremistas e a
distribuição de literatura extremista”, “Se vários países do Golfo ao Irão têm
tido culpas no avanço do extremismo, a Arábia Saudita está sem dúvida no topo
da lista.»
Por trás do terrorismo há forças fascistas alemãs
De um portal do partido Die Linke (A Esquerda), Berlim
de 3 de Maio de 2017:
«Uma história digna de um autor de mistérios
– ou novelista – enche os cabeçalhos alemães. Começou quando a polícia do
aeroporto de Viena prendeu um primeiro-tenente da Bundeswehr [exército
alemão] quando este levantou uma pistola escondida desde algumas semanas nos
sanitários. O tenente negou que fosse dele e foi libertado. Mas acontece que
as suas impressões digitais correspondiam às de um refugiado [sírio] que
tinha pedido asilo na Alemanha há dois anos atrás…
Este jovem e louro oficial alemão de 28
anos estava registado nos estados de Hesse e Baviera como refugiado de
Damasco, Síria. Disse que era católico mas que os homens da ISIS o tinham
perseguido e matado alguns familiares devido a antecedentes parciais judeus e
ao seu nome judeu, David Benjamin. Estranhamente, não falava ou falava pouco de
árabe e foi interrogado em francês – com sotaque alemão. Nunca ninguém tinha
suspeitado dele ou pelo menos tal foi alegado. Parece que tinha regularmente alternado
entre a sua profissão de oficial numa unidade franco-alemã na Alsácia francesa
e a sua falsa existência de refugiado sírio na Alemanha.
… parece que planeava cometer algum
crime que seria atribuído a imigrantes sírios, no quadro da actual onda
mediática contra «criminosos estrangeiros». Conhecem-se duas coisas: o seu cúmplice,
um estudante alemão de 24 anos agora preso, armazenou munições para o
tenente; uma «lista de pessoas a abater» encontrada na sua casa inclui o nome
de uma jovem delegada do Linke na assembleia de Berlim, conhecida por
defender imigrantes…
Como pôde a Bundeswehr, incluindo o seu
departamento de espionagem (acrónimo MAD), desconhecer de alguma forma estes
estranhos eventos? Julga-se agora que eles de facto conheciam; o colégio
militar francês onde o tenente tinha tido cursos avisou as autoridades
militares alemãs há dois anos atrás de que a sua tese final era racista e
pró-fascista. Aparente-mente, nada disto perturbou quem quer que fosse.
Ursula von der Leyen, a ambiciosa
ministra da defesa, até agora preocupada em construir uma Bundeswehr orientada
para a agressão… Estava agora, de repente, na defensiva – ou não tão de
repente já que mais e mais relatórios vieram à luz em meses recentes sobre os
costumes brutais nas forças armadas… ela tomou o passo sem precedentes de
admitir laxismo no processamento que deixa as portas abertas aos
«extremistas» que não deviam estar na Bundeswehr, mas que sempre lá estiveram
e por vezes no topo. [As casernas alemãs estavam até recentemente cheias de
recordações nazis e da Wehrmacht. Só retiradas devido a uma inspecção.]
Quantos sabiam da existência dupla do
oficial e talvez do seu intento? Quantos têm ideias semelhantes? Esta
história repete o caso do grupo Nacional-Socialista Clandestino que
assassinou nove imigrantes gregos e turcos, e uma mulher polícia alemã, bem
como rebentou uma bomba desastrosa num subúrbio quase todo de turcos. O
julgamento de Beate Zschäpe, um membro sobrevivente do grupo, está agora no
quinto ano em Munique, enquanto as investigações do Bundestag se arrastam.
Existem ainda muitas mais ligações suspeitas entre os assassinos e as
autoridades oficiais que, de alguma forma, têm vindo a destruir documentos
chave incriminando agentes a alto nível dos serviços secretos e agora,
estranhamente, até mesmo o FBI americano!»
Esta notícia, que tem sido abafada pelos
media, é também relatada numa
apresentação (em inglês) de Victor Grossman, um comunista americano que vive
na Alemanha desde o fim da 2ªGM e é membro da ala comunista do Linke.
Apresentação que reputamos de elevado interesse, sobre os perigos da actual
Alemanha, nomeadamente a da criação de um exército europeu que dominaria a UE.
Muitos PCs europeus parecem alheados deste perigo. Como diz Grossman, «é
aconselhável seguir os desenvolvimentos futuros da Alemanha tão de perto
quanto possível» e «A Alemanha representa um grande, muito grande, perigo».
Provocações americanas contra a Coreia do Norte
Têm vindo a aumentar as provocações dos
EUA e seus aliados Japão e Coreia do Sul contra a Coreia do Norte. Entre elas
a instalação na Coreia do Sul pelos americanos de um sistema de mísseis
designado por Terminal High Altitude
Air Defense (THAAD).
Estas provocações são uma ameaça à paz
mundial. Uma agressão dos EUA ou seus proxies
à Coreia do Norte tem alta probabilidade de envolver a China ao lado da
Coreia do Norte.
O Japão ocupou a Coreia em 1910
explorando-a da forma mais brutal e cometendo as piores atrocidades contra o
seu povo. No fim da 2.ª GM os coreanos lançaram uma luta revolucionária para
recuperar a sua soberania. O apoio popular era tão esmagador que a dada altura
quase toda a península estava libertada. Os EUA lançaram então uma guerra de
agressão (guerra da Coreia) vindo a estabelecer um estado cliente – a Coreia
do Sul – com relações económicas estreitas com o Japão e Taiwan. Coreia do
Sul + Japão + Taiwan: pivot dos EUA no Pacífico para «conter» a China e exercer
um certo domínio no mar da China, onde existe petróleo.
Na Coreia do Norte estabeleceu-se um
regime de tipo socialista. Desde sempre os EUA têm imposto sanções e ameaçado
este país com uma guerra. Têm também lançado campanhas sistemáticas de
difamação, com as mentiras mais mirabolantes. (Visitantes da Coreia do Norte
têm desmentido algumas delas, incluindo uma jornalista do JN e o dramaturgo José L. Peixoto) Goste-se ou não se goste
do regime norte-coreano – que não é marxista e tem características que não
apoiamos – o povo da Coreia do Norte tem o direito de se defender.
Concordamos com as seguintes palavras da
comentadora Margaret Kimberley da Black Agenda Report dos EUA (artigo do ML
Today):
«A República Democrática Popular da
Coreia (RDPC), geralmente chamada Coreia do Norte, tem o direito de testar e
desenvolver tantas armas quantas quiser. Não precisa da autorização de nenhum
país para melhorar o seu arsenal e, tendo em conta a história de agressão dos
EUA, é sensata ao fazê-lo. Qualquer país que os EUA considerem como inimigo,
e que não tenha uma defesa forte, corre o perigo de acabar como o Iraque e a
Líbia invadido ou destruído por outros meios.
Não há razões para os americanos
prestarem atenção sobre a conversa dos mísseis da RDPC alcançarem o Alasca ou
qualquer outra parte do nosso país. Os EUA têm mais armas, nucleares e
convencionais, do que qualquer outra nação do mundo e é por isso a maior
ameaça à paz. O único perigo do programa de mísseis da RDPC provém das
reacções americanas a ele»
A agressão imperialista da Venezuela e os 7 milhões de votos da oposição
Continua forte a agressão imperialista
da Venezuela conduzida no terreno pelos seus agentes de guerra económica e
por grupos fascistas violentos que têm cometido as maiores barbaridades –
incêndio de 51 autocarros, incluindo escolares e um com oficiais
governamentais, assassinatos de cidadãos, acções terroristas, etc.; agentes e
grupos pagos pelos EUA. O governo do PSUV convocou eleições para uma
Assembleia Constituinte com o objectivo de dispor de uma Constituição alinhada
com as conquistas populares e proporcionando formas legais, não
revolucionárias, de combate à agressão imperialista-fascista.
A oposição burguesa, para-fascista, que
tanto desejava uma nova Constituição há 4 anos atrás, agora já não quer.
Realizou um referendo contra as eleições da Constituinte. Como era de esperar
os media pró-imperialistas, globalmente hegemónicos, anunciaram em grandes
parangonas – também os grandes jornais portugueses -- os resultados de tal
referendo: mais de 7 milhões votaram contra!
Mas não dizem que:
-- O referendo foi ilegal, realizado sem
qualquer coordenação institucional.
-- Precisamente porque foi ilegal, o
escrutínio foi todo controlado pelos caciques da oposição, sem qualquer
fiscalização independente.
-- É sabido que em mobilizações
anteriores – eleitorais e no abaixo-assinado para a remoção de Maduro -- a
oposição sempre recorreu a falcatruas que foram devidamente expostas e
documentadas: votos/assinaturas de mortos, votos/assinaturas duplicadas, etc.
É fácil imaginar que níveis terão atingido as falcatruas num referendo todo
controlado pela oposição.
-- O número de eleitores venezuelanos é
de 20 milhões. Mesmo sem ligar a falcatruas os 7 milhões estão longe de uma
maioria.
Note-se que a situação da Venezuela
continua difícil. Noutro artigo, observámos: a existência em instituições do
estado de falsos apoiantes da revolução; a não resolução da questão central
da natureza de classe do estado; a incorrecção e ilusões em torno da
expressão «socialismo do século XXI».
Um documento do passado 19 de Abril do
Partido Comunista Venezuelano, conclamando à «mais ampla unidade de acção
anti-imperialista para derrotar o plano desestabilizador e golpista» é
importante e esclarecedor. Alguns excertos, com itálicos nossos:
«… [A oligarquia e extrema-direita] para
além da violência antipopular que significa o açambarcamento e alto custo de
vida, pôs em marcha actos terroristas nas últimas semanas em várias cidades,
acompanhada de uma guerra nacional e internacional dos media, a fim de gerar
confusão e instigar ao confronto entre cidadãos, criando um estado geral de
caos e violência que leve a um desenlace cruento do conflito político, por
meio de um golpe de estado e/ou ingerência directa do imperialismo
norte-americano e das instituições internacionais ao seu serviço. … Com tais
fins, a direita pró-ianque exerce pressão sobre a oficialidade das FANB
[Forças Armadas Nacionais Bolivarianas] com diversas formas de manipulação e
chantagem…
É necessária e urgente a acção conjunta
e a articulação entre o alto governo, os partidos do Gran Polo Patriótico, as forças do movimento trabalhador e
popular e a oficialidade patriótica da FANB. É necessário um PLANO UNITÁRIO PATRIÓTICO E POPULAR para derrotar
a direita terrorista e o imperialismo.
O povo trabalhador venezuelano requer que os sectores da pequena
burguesia que exercem a hegemonia no Executivo Nacional, nos outros poderes
públicos e no partido do governo [PSUV], abandonem de imediato toda a conduta
sectária e auto-suficiente, conduta que tem debilitado o processo bolivariano
e serve na prática o plano do inimigo.
O PCV tem insistido desde há anos na necessidade de uma direcção unitária
e colectiva do processo bolivariano de mudanças, mas as tendências pequeno
burguesas que exerceram a direcção hegemónica do governo não prestaram
atenção a estes apelos e propostas…
… frente às vacilações e inconsequências da pequena burguesia no
exercício do poder, chamamos os sectores mais conscientes e combativos do
movimento dos trabalhadores e popular, do campesinato, das camadas médias e
intelectuais revolucionárias, e da oficialidade patriótica, a forjar um bloco
de forças que encabece a ampla aliança patriótica e anti-imperialista para
frustrar os planos sediciosos da direita pró-ianque, e também para remover as
tendências reformistas-entreguistas que desde as instâncias do poder tendem a
favorecer os sectores da alta burguesia, pactuando com a social-democracia de

Saudi Arabia, prominent member of the US & Co. empire, finances terrorism

reports, one from the government, the other from the independent and
conservative think tank Henry Jackson Society (HJS):
“Saudi Arabia is the main financing source of
Islamic extremism. This is the country leading the quartet of Arab countries
which decided to boycott the neighbor
Nevertheless, as JN recognizes, Great-Britain
sells armament to
The HFS report says further: “Saudi Arabia has
sponsored since 60-ies decade an effort of many millions of dollars (about 1,800
millions of dollars per year) to export the Wahabi Islam [the most
conservative form of Islam] across the Islamic world, including the Muslim
communities in the West”, for the direct support of mosques and Koranic
schools which “host extremist preachers and the distribution of extremist literature”, “If several Gulf countries and
Iran have been responsible in advancing extremism, Saudi Arabia is
nonetheless at the top.”
There
are German fascist forces behind terrorism
From a site
of the Die Linke (The Left) party, Berlin, 3 May 2017:
“A story worthy of a mystery author – or dramatist – has
been hitting German headlines. It began when police at the Vienna airport in
Austria arrested a first lieutenant of the German Bundeswehr army when he
picked up a pistol hidden some weeks earlier in a bathroom. He denied it was
his and was released. But his fingerprints somehow matched those of a [Syrian]
refugee who had applied for German asylum two years earlier…
This young blond German officer, 28, had been
registered in the German states of Hesse and Bavaria as a refugee from
Damascus in Syria. He had said he was Catholic but the men of ISIS had
persecuted him and killed some of his family because of his partially Jewish
background and Jewish name – “David Benjamin”. Strangely enough, he
spoke little or no Arabic and was questioned in French – with a German
accent. No-one had ever been suspicious, or so it was claimed. He then seems
to have commuted between his job as officer in a mixed French-German unit in
French Alsace and his false existence as a Syrian refugee in Germany.
… it seems he was planning to
commit some crime which would then be blamed on Syrian immigrants, in line with a current media wave against
“criminal foreigners”. Two things are known: his accomplice, a 24-year-old
German student now also under arrest, stored munition for the lieutenant. And
a “death list” found in his quarters includes the name of a young woman
delegate of the LINKE in the Berlin Assembly who is known for her defense of
immigrants…
How could the Bundeswehr, including the
military snooping department (with the acronym MAD) somehow miss out on such
strange goings-on? It now seems that they did indeed know; the French
military college where he had taken courses advised the German military
authorities two years ago that his final thesis was racist and pro-fascist. Somehow this did not overly disturb
anyone.
Ursula von der Leyen, the ambitious Defense
Minister, hitherto preoccupied with building up an aggressively-oriented
Bundeswehr… Now, suddenly, she was on the defensive – or not quite so
suddenly, since more and more reports have surfaced in recent months of
brutal customs in the armed forces... she took the unprecedented step of
admitting weaknesses in processing and leaning doors open to “extremists” who
are not supposed to be in the Bundeswehr – but always have been, sometimes at
the top. [The German barracks were until recently full with memorabilia
of the Nazis and the Wehrmacht. Only withdrawn because of an inspection.]
How many knew of the officer’s double existence
– and perhaps of his plot? How many have similar views? The story echoes the
case of the National Socialist Underground group which murdered nine Greek or
Turkish immigrants and one German policewoman and set off a disastrous bomb
in a largely Turkish neighborhood. The trial of Beate Zschäpe, a surviving
member of the group, is now in its 5th year in Munich while Bundestag
investigations drag on – and there are more and more suspicious connections
between the murders and official authorities who have somehow been shredding
key documents incriminating secret service agents and politicians at high
levels, and now, strangely enough, even the American FBI!”
These news, which have been muffled by the

provocations against North Korea
The provocations of US and its
allies Japan and South Korea against North Korea are on the rise. Among them,
the installation of the American
Terminal High Altitude Air Defense (THAAD) system in South Korea which poses
a very real threat.
These provocations are a threat to world peace.
An aggression led by
the US or its proxies to North Korea has a high probability of involving
China on the North Korean side.
Japan occupied Korea in 1910 exploiting it in
the most brutal way and committing the worst atrocities against its people. At
the end of WWII the Korean people engaged on a revolutionary fight to
recuperate its sovereignty. The
popular support was so overwhelming that at a certain time almost the whole
peninsula was freed. The

We agree with the following
statements of the commentator Margaret Kimberley from the US Black Agenda
Report (posted
in ML Today):
“The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), commonly
known as North Korea, has the right to test and develop as many weapons as it
likes. It doesn’t need another country’s permission to enhance its arsenal
and, given America’s history of aggression, it is wise to do so. Any country
deemed an enemy of the United States that doesn’t have a strong defense is in
danger of ending up like Iraq or Libya, invaded or destroyed by other means.
There is no reason for Americans
to pay attention to drivel about DPRK missiles reaching Alaska or any other
part of this country. The United States has more weapons, nuclear and
conventional, than any other nation in the world and is therefore the
greatest threat to peace. The only danger from the DPRK’s missile program
comes from American reactions to it.”
The
imperialist aggression to Venezuela and the 7 million votes of the opposition
The imperialist aggression to Venezuela goes on
in full strength. It’s being conducted on the ground by its agents of
economic war and by violent fascist groups who have committed the worst
barbarities – setting 51 buses on fire, including school buses and one with government
officials, murdering citizens, terrorist actions, etc.; agents and groups
paid by the
The bourgeois, para-fascist opposition, which
so much cried out for a new Constitution four years ago, has now dropped that
claim. It organized a referendum against the elections to the Constituent. As
was to be expected, the pro-imperialist and globally hegemonic media – the large
circulation Portuguese newspapers too – announced in big headlines the
results of such referendum: over 7 million people voted against!
But here is what they don’t say:
-- The referendum was illegal, carried on
without any institutional coordination whatsoever.
-- Precisely because it was
illegal, the scrutiny was totally controlled by the opposition chieftains, without
any independent monitoring.
-- It’s well-known that in all previous
mobilizations – elections and the subscription for the impeachment of Maduro –
the opposition always resorted to trickeries which were duly exposed and
documented: votes/signatures of dead people, duplicate votes/signatures, etc.
One can easily imagine
the amount reached by such trickeries in a referendum totally controlled by
the opposition.
-- The number of Venezuelan voters is of 20
million. Even if one
leaves aside the trickeries the 7 million votes are far from a majority.
Let us remark that the situation in Venezuela is
anything but easy. We observed in another article: the existence in state
institutions of phony supporters of the revolution; the non resolution of the
central issue of the class nature of the state; the incorrectness and
illusions around the expression “socialism for the 21st century”.
A document
of the Communist Party of Venezuela dating from last April and calling for
the “most ample unity of anti-imperialist action to defeat the destabilizing and
coup-plotter plan” is an important and clarifying one. Here are some excerpts with our
italics:
“… [The oligarchy and far-right] in addition to
the anti-people violence implied by stockpiling and high cost of life, carried
out terrorist acts in the last weeks in several cities, accompanied by a
national and international media war, aimed at generating confusion and
instigating confrontations among citizens, creating a general state of chaos and violence, leading to a bloody
denouement of the political conflict, either by means of a coup d’état and/or
by direct intervention of the north-American imperialism and the
international institutions at its service… For that purpose, the pro-American
right exerts pressure over the officers of the FANB [National Bolivarian
Armed Forces] resorting to several forms of manipulation and blackmailing …
It is necessary and urgent the joint action and
articulation between the government leadership, the parties of the Gran Polo Patriótico, the forces of
the workers and popular movements, and the patriotic officers of the FANB. A
PATRIOTIC AND POPULAR UNITARY PLAN is needed in order to defeat the terrorist
right wing and the imperialism.
The
Venezuelan working people demands that the sectors of the petty bourgeoisie
which exert their hegemony in the National Executive, in the other public
powers and in the party of the government [PSUV], abandon immediately any and
every kind of sectarian and self-sufficient behavior, which has undermined
the Bolivarian process and serves in actual practice the plans of the enemy.
The CPV
has insisted since years ago on the need of a unitary and collective
direction of the Bolivarian process of changes, but the petty bourgeois
tendencies which have exerted the hegemonic direction of the government did
not pay any attention to these appeals and proposals …
… in
the face of the wavering and inconsequence of the petty bourgeoisie in the
exercise of power, we appeal to the most conscious and fighting sectors of
the workers and popular movement, of the peasantry, of the revolutionary middle
layers and intellectuals, and to the patriotic officers, to build up a bloc
of forces heading an ample patriotic and anti-imperialist alliance in order
to frustrate the seditious plans of the pro-American right wing, and to also remove
the reformist-surrenderist tendencies flowing from the bodies of the power which
tend to favor the sectors of the big bourgeoisie, in collusion with the right
wing social-democracy …”
